Closure of Dementia Services with Friendship at Home.

Friendship at Home are very sad to announce the closure of our Dementia service, due to funding coming to an end. Friendship at Home will continue to provide all other services such as befriending, social activities and wellbeing checks. If you are accessing any of these services, do not worry, you do not need to contact us or do anything as these services will remain unchanged; it is only the dementia advice and support services that will cease to operate.

Where can I get Dementia support now?

For those of you that do not know, Friendship at Home’s staff and members helped co-produce the North East Lincolnshire Dementia Strategy 2023, that will come into effect from January 2024 and this will be delivered by the Alzheimer’s Society (Tel: 01472 359247).

If you need signposting to Dementia services, you can contact us on 01472 602500.

Personal message from Mandy and Clare

We would like to thank you all for making our work such a pleasure. It has been a privilege to work with so many inspirational people over the last 6.5 years and we hope that you will continue to receive the support you need to be able to live well with dementia now, and in the future. We are still both very much a part of Friendship at Home and are busy working on other projects, so we hope to see you again soon!!
