We at Friendship At Home are very excited and fortunate that local professional artist Les Porter has donated one of his fabulous oil paintings for us to raffle.

The painting, “Winter Colors” can be seen in the photograph with Les. This will be raffled by Friendship at Home between October and Wednesday 20th December 2017, when it will be drawn at our annual members Christmas Dinner for older people in the community.
Tickets will cost £1 a book (five tickets) and can be bought direct from me, David, by contacting me on this email, or Mob 07970 727469.
They will also be available from F@H staff, friends and colleagues of Friendship at Home.

If you would please be so kind as to help promote this raffle by printing the poster and putting it in your staff room and even circulating this email further to your friends, family and work colleagues.

All monies raised will go to support the work that Friendship at Home provides across the Borough supporting older people, for example, clubs, activities, outings, volunteers and befrienders.
As you may know, Les is a retired fireman who has painted most of his life for enjoyment. However due to an operation over fifteen years ago, he had to retire from the Fire Service and started painting professionally and teaching. Les teaches and paints in all mediums, oil, water colors, pencil, and of course subjects include landscapes, people, seascapes, people and animals. Les has had corporate commissions from Conoco, Tor Line and several others as well as undertaking private commissions in the UK and several other countries including Belgium, Norway, Sweden, America and Australia.
Les also now runs classes at New Waltham Village Hall and Wendover Hall Humberston. If you would like more information on his classes, please contact Les on 01472 882168.
